What does apprenticeship to Jesus look like at the Vineyard?
We think that growth as disciples (followers of Jesus) is a life-long process of being continually and increasingly formed into the image of Jesus. However, it can be confusing about where and how to get started. Below you will find what we call our Growth Pathway, very loosely organized around the three stages of apprenticeship to Jesus: being with Jesus, becoming like Him, and doing what he did.
Don’t feel like you have to pursue these in a rigid order. Growth is not only a process, it’s also very personal to where we are in our journey with Jesus. Obviously, if you are new to the Vineyard, we would suggest making our Newcomer Course something you view early in your exploration. If you are new to the Christian faith, we suggest starting with what it means to become a Christian and to follow Jesus in baptism.
Other than that, use the resources listed here in whatever order is most applicable for your present needs. From time to time we offer many of these as in-person classes. Even if you’ve used the material online, we still encourage you to join in on an in-person course. And as always, even if using the online resources, growth is always much better when done in community. So, find some friends and get started!

Being With Jesus
Here is what we consider “first things” when it comes to following Jesus. Our Newcomer Course, while not strictly about beginning life with Jesus, is still helpful here as an introduction to the Vineyard as both a local church and an association of churches.
